Autumn crisps

My roomates and I went apple picking a couple weeks ago, and we had so many leftover apples just sitting there! So I decided to make apple bread. I've never had or made apple bread before but these turned out so delicious! They smelled exactly like fall.

Hope y’all enjoy!

Ingredients

* 2 apples, peeled
* 4 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
* 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/4 cup oil
* 1/4 cup maple syrup
* 2 eggs, lightly beaten
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2/3 cup chopped nuts of your choice

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lion a loaf pan with aluminum foil

2. Peel and finely dice the apples and put them into a large bowl

3. To this apple bowl, add brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger, and nutmeg. Mix the spices with the apples and let the bowl rest for 15 minutes.

4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and baking soda

5. After 15 minutes is up, stir in oil, maple syrup, beaten eggs, and vanilla to the apple mixture

6. Slowly integrate the dry ingredients into the apple mixture. Fold until all ingredients are well integrated,

7. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Then sprinkle in a layer of your chopped nuts. Add the remaining batter over the nuts.

8. Bake for 55 minutes or until a chopstick inserted into the loaf comes out clean

9. Enjoy!
